The Healthy Woof

How it Works

Most commercial pet foods consist of a combination of cereals and meat proteins. Because the grain content is larger than what would be found in a natural diet (Have you ever seen a wolf or tiger farm rice, wheat, and corn?), our pet's digestive system needs a bit of help to break down the large quantity of grains found in most kibble formulas. Supplemental enzymes help to ensure that our pets receive the maximum amount of nutrition available from the food eaten.

Pet Plus provides amylase, protease, lipase, cellulase and glucoamylase. These enzymes aid in the digestion of proteins.

If you feed raw food to your pets, your pets are thanking you, though they can still benefit from Pet Plus. Pet Plus also has flaxseed and safflower (great for skin, coat and metabolism), alfalfa (cleansing action on the body and helps to prevent odours), barley and wheat grass (rich sources of vitamins and terrific supply of anti-oxidants), and Lactobacillus acidophilus and Lactobacillus plantarum (helps the plumbing work at it's optimum ability).

The differences between the dog and cat products:

Pet Plus for Dogs has brewer's yeast. This, combined with garlic, helps to reduce flea infestations.

Pet Plus for Cats has taurine. In felines, taurine helps to prevent eye problems, hair loss, and tooth decay. Also, liver has been added to enhance the flavour.
